Since 2006, Julian Dozier, CPA, ABV, CFF, CFE has performed forensic accounting services. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Finance and a Masters of Accounting from Florida State University, and is licensed in the state of Florida.
Julian has led significant engagements involving forensic audits and litigation support for for-profit, not-for-profit, and governmental enterprises. He frequently qualifies and testifies as an expert witness related to forensic accounting, economic damages, and related topics. During his tenure with a diversified top-200 CPA firm, he also led audits and other assurance engagements, oversaw the firm's system of quality control, and led the assurance services department for several years. He also provided accounting assistance and consulting services to countless small-business clients.
Julian is well-versed in fraud prevention, detection, and investigation, holding the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential and the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) designation. Julian also earned and holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) certification and has in recent years conducted peer reviews for other accounting firms, with a particular emphasis on SOC-specialty firms. He also leads continuing education seminars on professional standards and technical accounting topics. Before becoming a CPA, Julian had six years of experience in the construction industry, offering project management support and expertise in percentage-of-completion accounting.
Julian served as the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) Chair for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, the Leadership Tallahassee (LT) Chair for the 2021-2022 fiscal year, a member of the governing Council of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) from 2020-2026, and several other volunteer leadership roles in Tallahassee, Florida including with LeMoyne Arts, the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, the Leon County Citizens Advisory Committee for the Miccosukee Canopy Road Greenway, and more.
